My name is Lolita (Leda) Carvallo-Taylor and I am originally from sunny South Florida! My training includes Transformational Life Counseling with a Triple Certification in Trauma Awareness Counseling, Evolved Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Quantum Time Release™
I also specialize in couples- having acquired certifications in the Gottman Method:
- Level 1 – Bridging the Couple Chasm
- Level 2 – Couples and Co-Morbidities, PTSD, Affairs/ Addiction
- Level 3 – Advanced Practicum Training.
Narcissistic Victim Syndrome is also an area of expertise for those individuals struggling to remain in such relationships or continue to experience the after-effects of Narcissistic abuse. NVS can become insidious over time, creating such mental health conditions as depression, anxiety and even manifests and/or worsens certain medical conditions. The goal is to uncover the deep-rooted connections between the individual and his/her partner, leading to self-determination and an empowering sense of self.
Professionally, I have a 22- year background of Social Work and Mental Health Counseling as a Licensed Mental Health clinician. I am currently attending a Doctoral Marriage & Family Therapy program/Systemic Administration Specialization as part of my professional endeavors. Having worked with diverse populations such as substance abuse, the foster care system, juvenile justice system, court-ordered parents involving dependency proceedings, and psychiatric outpatient for those needing mental health stabilization/treatment for depression, anxiety and other chronic mental health issues. Cultural sensitivity with respect to race, ethnicity and beliefs which may impact intergenerational trauma is also an area of focus. Both my professional and personal experiences have provided the ‘lens’ in which to ‘see’ into a client’s world. I have faced countless challenges with my clients who have redefined their past and present by these 3 Words…
